According to The Lands of Ice and Fire companion book, Yi Ti is located on the far east side of Essos, a vast nation that stretches to the north of the Jade Sea coast and whose western border is a couple of hundred miles away from Qarth, the wealthy city visited by Daenerys in Game of Thrones’ second season. Ulthos is a landmass in the far east, which may or may not be another continent. It lies to the south of Asshai and the Shadow Lands in Essos and to the east of Sothoryos. It is separated from the Shadow Lands by the Saffron Straits. The island of Ulos is located in the straits between Ulthos and Essos. Geography. The Rhoyne originates from the confluence of two of its tributaries, the Upper Rhoyne and the Little Rhoyne, southeast of the ruins of Ghoyan Drohe in northwestern Essos. Its course runs southeast and meets the Noyne just north of Ny Sar. The Rhoyne continues southeast to Dagger Lake, where it is joined by the Qhoyne. How high is Essos on the priority list? I hope they slowly roll it out with more bookmarks, like a blackfyre one adding tyrosh and the stepstones and braavos, slavers bay etc for a game of thrones and the other main books storyline. Lys, known as Lys the Lovely,[1] is one of the nine Free Cities of Essos. It is a small city clinging to rocks surrounded by stormy seas.[2] The city lies off the coast of the Disputed Lands, to the southeast of Tyrosh and to the west of Volantis.[3] The rest of the map — including a theoretical extension to Essos — curves around this point, eventually linking Westeros and Esso together.
